Replacing the MGA was no mean feat – but Abingdon rose to the occasion. What the ‘B lost in beauty it gained in sophistication; it might not have been the first British rag top with a monocoque shell but it was leagues ahead of the ‘A in terms of cabin space, refinement and crash protection.
