Locating all the species of fungi in the UK would be like finding the, growing on a damp old elm tree trunk, submerged beneath nettles. Wrinkled peach favours rotting elm wood and was therefore abundant after the outbreak of Dutch elm disease, but with a sparse population of elms now present in the countryside, these peachy beauties are something of a rarity.
