NEW IN BELGIUM

I doubt that I am the only one to point out that your caption concerning Richard Ford vehicle HFA 137N (August issue, page 43) is incorrect.

I worked in the office of Comart Europa International Ltd., of Longton, Stoke on Trent between 1975 and 1978. At this time Comart had recently been purchased from its founder by SPD (Unilever). In 1975 a batch of five left-hand-drive 4x2 Volvo F88s on Trilex wheels were transferred from our sister company SBT in Belgium. The five were registered from HFA134N through to HFA138N.

All five vehicles were still in active operation in mainland Europe and North Africa when I left Comart to pursue a career elsewhere in Unilever.
