In November 2022, when I was preparing for my interviews with Condé Nast for the role of editor-in-chief, I had to assemble a vision board. For a person who prefers to build his world around things that are immediate, having to map out a decidedly comprehensive goal for the overall direction of a magazine felt onerous.
Upon getting the role two months later, the direction in which I wanted to take the magazine was clear. My
