Preamble:
The incidence of non-communicable disease is rising in India. Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidaemia, Obesity and together as the Metabolic syndrome. The disease is often silent and in many there are a few symptoms that are largely ignored. In time it results in organ dysfuction and lead to organ failure.
The common organs involved are the kidney, liver and also the heart. In certain breathing disorders (Interstitial lung disease) the lungs too.
