BUILDING THE MONSTER!

ast issue I talked about Building the Monster L—the recreation of the Morrari, but there was more to tell so here goes. To quickly recap, the Morrari was one of the wildest All Comers Saloon cars from the sixties driven by the late Garth Souness. “The Monster” was painted above the windshield and the car lived up to its name, it was remembered as rough as guts but it could go like a bat out of hell. The Morrari name was coined by motoring journalists of the day. The Morris Minor body clothed the 1955 Ferrari Super Squalo Grand Prix chassis, so they combined Morris plus Ferrari resulting in the Morrai. For the mid to late sixties there was nothing quiterecreate the long-lost car around 15 years ago.
