Curated by Nina Sanadze, is a series of socially engaged exhibitions, tiered openings, talks, workshops, performances and public events celebrating and fostering emerging artist collectives. Oct 11 to Nov 4 collects the work of four Naarm-based artists – Elena Misso, Kaijern Koo, Michael McCafferty, and Skye Malu Baker – who adopt a diaristic approach in their practice, transforming the everyday and domestic into an aesthetic experience that expresses the peculiarity of urban banality. Also, by Gail Priest “explores the way in which sound positions us in place and presentness. Using sounds gathered from the surrounding city streets and the building itself, I will create sonic and visual representations of site and moment comprising soundscapes and wall pieces based on the audio tool of spectral analysis.”
