Roger Whittaker has died at the age of 87. As the bearded, avuncular prince ofin the Falcon; and there was that whistle, a talent developed during his boyhood in Kenya. This shot catches him mid-pucker on a TV show in Germany, where he remained huge throughout his career. He was big in NZ during the 70s too, a frequent visitor to our shores and on our TV screens. For evidence of just how big he was in his heyday, visit any charity shop.
