Born in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands in 1973, Beverley Knight is a musician and actor. She discovered her talent for singing in her Pentecostal church choir when she was a child. Signing her first record contract at the age of 21, she joined a wave of innovative R&B stars in the UK in the 1990s, and found commercial success in the 00s, with tracks such as Shoulda Woulda Coulda.
