Some things in this modern world are supposed to be made at home, a little slower, by hand and with love. My ethos is to empower people in the kitchen, to help them be better cooks, give them confidence to try something new and, most importantly, have fun.
I launched my channel, Andy Cooks, and started creating content in November 2021. I’d realised during the Covid-19 lockdowns that even though I’d worked as a professional chef for 20 years, it didn’t mean that I was a good home cook. So I thought, well, I’ll just start making videos of how I’m learning to be a better home cook and hopefully that will inspire others to cook more at home, too. My partner Katelyn and I did a “Hey, Babe” video one day and it just blew up. Now we’re into the millions of subscribers, and the YouTube channel has more than 1.3 billion views. And me? I’m still on the journey to becoming a better home cook and, with this cookbook, I’m sharing what I’ve learnt along the way.
