Cliff Fall Horror ‘He’s Gone Over!’

Snapping a selfie with my son Tarj, then 12, it felt good to be out in nature.

It was a sunny spring day in October 2021, so together with my dad Darren, 59, his partner Abbi, 45, my brothers Khane, 39, and Cameron, 13, and Abbi’s kids, Oscar, 15, and Izzy, nine, we’d planned a family day out to Gerringong Falls, NSW.

Avid mountain bike riders, we’d ridden for 40 minutes to get to the walking trail, then hiked 15 kilometres to the base of the waterfall for a picnic.
