Alan Wake 2 was a Gamescom show stealer with a new slice of gameplay.

We’re watching the (perhaps overdone) glitz and glamour of Opening Night Live, the show that kicks off Gamescom with announcements and updates. But rather than watching from an awkward corner off to the side of the room, this year we’ve crowded around another journalist’s tablet, discussing the show in real time while enjoying the excellent food and drink of Cologne, Germany. (Yes, plenty of currywurst has been eaten.)
