Fords have been popular in South Africa since the 1920s. That’s hardly surprising, as it was Henry Ford who established an assembly line to drastically reduce manufacturing costs. So much so that he was able to both reduce the price of the Model T to allow most factory workers to afford one and also double the wages of his staff.
