It would be easy to view Wharfedale’s new Dovedale speakers as a mere marketing exercise designed to mine the company’s rich heritage; but that isn’t the whole story. Yes, they are a re-engineered version of one of the company’s best-loved products of the ’60s and ’70s, and at a basic level exude the kind of retro charm some won’t be able to resist.
