AS I write this column the flathead season is starting to hot up here on the Gold Coast. With this in mind, I am always looking to build a new flathead rod for the upcoming season and this year is no different. Flathead have been one of my favourite fish to target from my early fishing days and this passion still drives me to get better at catching them.
