ALL HALLOWS’ EVE
With its history of witches and superstition, Lavenham is the perfect place to spend Halloween. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it was at the centre of ‘witch hunting’, with the terrifying events that happened here said to have inspired the infamous witch trials in Salem, Massachusetts. More recently, Lavenham was featured in the Harry Potter films as the birthplace of the boy wizard. The Crooked House, dating from 1385, is home to Alex and Oli Khalil-Martin, aka the Crooked Men, who will be throwing open their door for two All Hallows’ Eve black-tie dinner events..
