INTO THE WOODS

Forests and woodlands have been a rich source of inspiration for craftspeople, artists, and creatives throughout history. Home to thousands of species of tree, flora, fauna and fungi, and steeped in folklore, these ecosystems have provided a wealth of visual stimuli for print designers over the years, and continue to be a strong theme in fabric and wallpaper design this season, with designs ranging from graphic leafy prints to whimsical woodland scenes. These bring more than just decorative interest to interiors – they introduce the colours, materials and textures of nature into the home in a wonderful way to create calming, restorative spaces.
