Duvets

BEFORE YOU BUY

■ Synthetic filled duvets are filled with man-made fibres, such as polyester and polyamide made from petroleum-based plastics. They are the most affordable, easy to care for as they can be washed at high temperatures, and anti-allergenic, which makes them a popular choice for children’s bedding.

■ Next there’s wool. It’s insulating, breathable, temperature regulating, hypoallergenic and durable. It’s a sustainable and renewable resource, and biodegradable at the end of the product’s lifespan. However, not all wool duvets can be washed, so it pays to double-check the care instructions.
