Alfredo Boulton had multiple lives. The Venezuelan photographer, art critic, historian, collector, and publisher was born into a wealthy Caracas family in 1908. As a teenager, he studied and traveled in Europe, where he met avant-garde artists who would shape his vision—and the trajectory of modern art in Venezuela.
