Scientific researchers, institutions honoured

Scientists and institutions committed to exploring the frontiers of knowledge to create a better, more sustainable future for society in the country were honoured during the 2023 National Research Foundation (NRF) Awards ceremony held at Zimbali in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday.

The awards were held under the theme, Celebrating 20 years of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Project in South Africa. Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Dr Blade Nzimande attended the ceremony.

Recipients were honoured in the categories of the Research Excellence Award
