WORKPLACE WONDERS

When Australia was in the grips of the global pandemic, many of us worked from home, etching out a space where we could, taking over spare bedrooms, reclaiming part of the kitchen bench, or turning an attic space or nook under the stairs into a compact workspace.

Now that the world seems to have tilted back on its axis and post-pandemic normality prevails, one fact remains. Many Australians relished working from home, for a host of reasons. Commuting became a thing of the past, business attire could be pushed firmly to the back of the closet, and families could connect more.

Some have continued to work from home full time, or a few days a week, popping into the workplace for meetings. Temporary home office spaces have become permanent fixtures, with well-thought-out spaces containing desks, comfortable seating and storage spaces.
