Henry Repeating Arms has been making lever-action rifles since 1996, so one would assume their first revolver would be a single-action model to complement the historicity of the lever action, along with possible use in Cowboy Action Shooting. So it took more than a few shooters by surprise when they recently released a pair of double-action .357 Magnum revolvers with brass frames.

Then again, Henry never fails to surprise.

In a world of stagger-stack plastic, it’s always good to see a new company enter the fray with a wheel gun. Dubbed the Big Boy, the two revolvers have 4-inch barrels, the aforementioned brass frame, and coil springs rather than leaf springs. Some detractors say they look cheap or cartoonish, but we’ll just say
