National Durian

Durian growers, are you ready to face extreme drought conditions?

Heat waves and the El Niño phenomenon have hit our country’s agriculture sector.

During the months of March to May, Malaysia’s weather has been unusually unstable, with high temperatures and sudden heavy rains becoming the norm. Under such weather conditions, mature durian trees enter the production stage, including that of flowering stage.

Many growers have reported that durian trees have already entered the third or even fourth batch of flowering, which is undoubtedly great news for durian growers.

It is expected that durian production will increase significantly in the second half of year 2023, ensuring an abundant supply for durian enthusiasts.
