Over the past two years, my work has elaborated on the tension between liberation and confinement. Most recently, this isbody of oil paintings through which I explore themes of sexuality, horror, gender identity, personal mythology, transformation, and the axis of euphoria and dysphoria. Taking inspiration from film, literature, and art history, I appropriate various cultural mythologies to formulate figurative expressions of gendered performativity.
