In April 2008, 74-year-old Clifford Lambert was lonely.

The socialite and former art dealer lived in Palm Springs, California, where he’d once shared his home with his partner of 10 years, Travis.

Until April 2006, when their relationship dramatically ended.

Neighbours had called police about their domestic disputes.
