WALNUT SHELLS MAKE GREAT PINCUSHION STUFFING AS THEY SHARPEN YOUR NEEDLES!

YOU WILL NEED

Pumpkin pincushion

■ Various prints of coordinating fabric: eight (8) 5in squares
■ Green and brown wool felt: each at least 3in square
■ One skein of brown embroidery thread
■ Toy stuffing or crushed walnut shells for stuffing
■ One large two-hole button and one small two-hole button
■ Hot glue gun
■ One (1) copy each of the Pumpkin Leaf, Stem and Circle templates

FINISHED SIZE

■ 5in x 5in x 3in

NOTES

■ Seam allowances are ¼in, unless otherwise noted.
■ RST= right sides together.
■ WOF= width of fabric.
■ Templates include seam allowances.
■ Fabric supplied by Ruby Star Society (rubystarsociety.com).

FABRICS USED

Print fabrics are from the Curio collection by Melody Miller, and Speckled collection, both from Ruby Star Society.

CUTTING OUT

1 From the various coordinating fabrics cut:

■ Eight (8) 5in squares.

2 From the green wool felt cut:

■ One (1) Leaf template.

3 From the brown wool felt cut:

■ One (1) Stem template.

MAKING THE LEAF AND STEM
