emote South Georgia is home to the biggest colonies of majestic king penguins in the world. You’ll see several thousand together in Fortuna Bay, surrounded by jagged peaks and glaciers, and another extensive colony on the beach at Gold Harbour. Cooper Bay is home to the island’s largest chinstrap penguin colony, as well as macaroni and gentoos. Look out, too, for the giant petrels and light-mantled and sooty albatross that nest on the rocky cliffs, the elephant and fur seals stretched out on the shores
