New face in Tywyn attracts international crowds

LOVE it or loathe it, the stories of Thomas theTank Engine and his friends have been responsible for kickstarting railway interests and encouraging many of us into volunteering.TheTalyllyn Railway is no exception, and over the years has ‘welcomed’ some of the series’ narrow gauge characters to Wales as‘visitors’, the line and it srolling stock having formed the basis for the Rev Wilbert Awdry’s Skarloey Railway route and the stories set thereon.
