ALTHOUGH John Jolly, the owner of Mangapps Railway Museum at Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, is facing the never-ending shortage of volunteers which is endemic throughout the heritage sector, he has two strong reasons for feeling positive – an unexpected boom in visitor numbers and the imminent completion of work on one of its main line diesel locomotives.
