HEART OF GLASS

The radiant jewellery of Created by Culture is more than just a gorgeous Australian-Ghanaian collaboration of artisanal adornments, it’s also an innovative and sustainable solution to a specific environmental issue. When founder Caroline Boateng visited her country of birth, she was enchanted by the artistry, vibrancy and beauty, but distressed to see the rubbish carelessly discarded on the street due to the lack of public waste-disposal systems. Every piece is hand-made from recycled glass waste that is transformed into beautiful beads using traditional Ghanaian techniques dating back to the seventeeth century.
