Germany’s Bernhard Langer played in the Ryder Cup ten times between 1981 and 2002. He was a central figure in establishing Europe’s first Ryder Cup golden age along with fellow Major Champions Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam. Langer captained the 2004 team at Oakland Hills, and Europe’s winning score of 18.5-9.5 remains the biggest margin of victory by Europe in America.
