PLANTS WE LOVE

FALL OFFERS PRIME PLANTING season for trees and shrubs, which appreciate the season’s warm soil, cool nights and increased rainfall as they settle into their new landscape locations. These conditions tend to mean less input from the gardener post-planting, as well, although if those rains turn scarce water will need to be supplied.

Here are a few woody plants that received awards in 2023 for their vigor and beauty. Perhaps one can find a home in your garden this fall.
