The off-and-on wet weather took its toll on a number of events over the weekend of 22-23 July with some events cancelled, including Mike Lawrence’s working event at Highbridge, Somerset, the Vauxhall/Bedford rally at Sywell Aerodrome and the excellent Classic & Retro Show at Holdenby House, Northamptonshire. Ironically on the Sunday the weather turned out well as the day went on.

I was due to attend the Holdenby House event and ended up being diverted to The Dept, Weeden Bec,.
