OSLO A MODERN SCANDINAVIAN PORT AND CAPITAL CITY

The port and Norwegian capital city of Oslo is situated on low-lying land in a sheltered harbour at the head of Oslofjord. It lies at a natural junction of sea and land transportation comprising both road and rail networks, and has a major international airport at Gardermoen.

The modern Port of Oslo, together with the freight terminal at Alnabru, is the national cargo and transport hub, and a vital portal to access the Norwegian marketplace. The port handles a diverse rangecontainer traffic, including consumer goods, motor vehicles, grain, oil, salt and cement for the construction industry, as well as hosting numerous cruise ships every year and being the terminal for several ferry services.
