It was a day of happiness and joy, of love and togetherness.
A wedding attended by close friends and family, set against the beautiful backdrop of the French Alps.
After the couple’s vows, on 26 August 2017, the party started.
Children playing, adults dancing, everyone laughing.
Then, at 3am, the DJ made an announcement.
Little Maëlys de Araujo had gone missing from the children’s room.
The 8-year-old was at the wedding with her mum Jennifer, the bride’s cousin, her dad Joachim and her older sister.
But now she couldn’t be found.
