The frequency response shown in Graph 1 is a composite, with Newport Test Labs using the in-room response it measured for the MartinLogan F20 for the frequencies below 1kHz and the anechoic response it measured for the frequencies above 1kHz. You can see that the response is very flat indeed, such that it essentially extends from around 38Hz to 20kHz ±3dB. (Note that this upper limit is the graphing limit for this particular graph, not the upper limit of the speaker itself.)
If you look at Graph 2, which extends the graphing limit out to measured for the speakers was 38Hz to 25kHz ±3dB, which is so close to MartinLogan’s own specification of 35Hz to 25kHz ±3dB that the difference is academic. It’s self-evidently an excellent response and also an excellent result for the Motion F20.
