Have you ever been playing Bloodborne, exploring its gothic streets, and found yourself wishing for an assault rifle? No, us neither, but someone at Gunfire Games clearly has. A chunk of Remnant II takes place in streets reminiscent of Yarnham, you see, complete with clawed beasts and pitchfork-wielding locals who don’t take kindly to ‘outsiders’. Perhaps that’s only fair, though, since you’ll soon be mowing them down with automatic weapons.

Thanks to Remnant II’s planet-hopping scenario, the places you blast through – either solo or with up to two friends – offer plenty of fresh sights. The levels comprising grubby Victorian streets and gothic cathedrals take up around a quarter of the campaign, with the rest spent blasting up entirely new worlds.
