As the mid-size-SUV segment continues to go from strength to strength, it has become a staple for urban dwellers looking for a one-size-fits-all family vehicle.
Previously, the Mahindra XUV500 had the unenviable job of whetting South African appetites for the Indian brand beyond its rugged bakkie offerings. Its spot has now been taken by the XUV700, which is underpinned by a new platform that is 80 per cent stiffer than before thanks to an increase in adhesive bonding and the number of spot welds.
