Siemens LU stock moves for testing

THE first of 94 new trains for the Piccadilly line has arrived by rail at Wildenrath, Germany, for testing.

Siemens Mobility is building the trains, with around half of the fleet to be constructed at the company’s new site near Goole, which Siemens said is currently in the final stages of being fitted out. Production at the site is due to begin early next year.
