As has been in the case in recent years, 13 BLADE Magazine Knife-Of-The-Year® Awards* were doled out at the BLADE Show—this year’s June 2-4 rendition held once again at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. As has not been the case in recent years, however, no one company dominated or won even two awards.
Some buzz killers might call it a case of collective mediocrity—though BLADE® would not be among them. If anything, the fact there were 13 winners indicates the competition among the world’s best factory knife companies is hotter than ever.
Three companies won their firstever Knife-Of-The-Year Awards—Shirogorov Knives, Rosecraft Blades and winner of the Overall Knife Of The Year, GiantMouse. For the first time in its history, Spartan Blades won the Manufacturing Quality Award recognizing the outstanding workmanship
