India, a nation rich in history and culture, celebrated 75 years of its glorious independence with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). This momentous occasion marked a tribute to the country’s journey towards progress, freedom, and unity. Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India organized various events and campaigns to commemorate this historic milestone. One of the most impactful and exhaustive on-ground joint campaigns was the collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Rural Development, and India Today Group in 10 Major Cities across the country. With the main overarching theme of "Inclusive Development" i.e., Samaveshi Vikaas, the campaign aimed to raise awareness about critical aspects such as Plantation on Riverbanks, livestock awareness, Financial Literacy, PMAY-G, and promoting digital transactions. Covering 10 districts, 30 Gram Panchayats, a journey of 73 days, covering nearly 21 Thousand Kilometers, successfully reaching out to 35 Thousand rural residents, and engaging directly with a population of more than 12 Thousand individuals, this campaign’s success has illuminated the path of progress for our nation.
