Temple visit is sweet food for the soul

taste of tradition

PEOPLE the world over visit the famous Tirupati temple in South India for several reasons. Some want their wish for a spouse, an offspring, more wealth or whatever, to be granted. Some believe the power of the deity will cure their ills.

I have visited the temple in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh several times. And if truth be told, it has been mainly for the renowned ghee-rich sweet, the Tirupati laddu. No laddus can taste better than the mouth-watering, delicious, yummy laddu, which is the mainstay of the temple.

My wife likes to visit the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara for good health and a peaceful life. My daughter looks forward to visiting the abode of
