JENN PROCACCI OF WILDLAND CANNABIS, AN award-winning regenerative farm in the hills of Mendocino County, California, views breeding cannabis as an art project.

“It feels very creative to me, like I’m collaborating with the cannabis plant,” Procacci says.

The artist-turned-farmer co-founded WildLand in 2016 with her business partner Joey Gothelf, also a visual artist, when the two left Philadelphia after art school. Both were in search of a life closer to nature.
