‘Black Knight’ AGM

Large, vigorous plants with relatively short slender spikes filled with deepest purple (though not black), yellow-eyed florets. Still an awardwinner 65 years after its introduction. Good for: Back of a mixed border. Canary creeper () growing through it. ‘Purple Emperor’ is similar, but much shorter and with smaller leaves. RHS H6. 10-13ft (3-4m).
