The tank was removed and welded but I soon realised this was one tired old Trident, and the engine was going to have to come apart to put a few things right. I didn't have too much confidence in doing a full strip and rebuild on one of these machines back then, so we took it all to bits at Dave's place. I bought myself a Honda CB500T as a replacement ‘big bike’- also still in the stable today.

Another UK spec T150V later came my way. I was offered it once before at about half what I eventually paid for it. Prices were starting to climb. This was the second of three Tridents I haverather battered black and gold example from my first and current machine. The second Trident appeared to be in good condition. It was very clean and leak-free with good cosmetics, but fitted with cheap imitation TT100 tyres of the ‘Swallow’ brand. Nasty.
