A cause worth fighting if it means protecting lives

Last week, conservative think tank the Institute of Race Relations (IRR) condemned environmental justice organisations’ legal challenge of government’s decision to allow Eskom to bypass air pollution controls at its Kusile coal power station.

The IRR says South Africa cannot afford “fashionable ideological indulgences” and that the exemptions given to Eskom should stand.
