OF all the questions I’m asked by potential Range Rover owners, the most frequent of all is which powertrain I’d recommend – petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid?
With the long-anticipated fully electric Range Rover (see Page 38) not due until 2025, the plug-in hybrid is as electrified as you can go for now – but I call it a second-generation PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) because it has a bigger battery than earlier models, to enable it to go further on electricity alone.
There are two flavours of PHEV Range
