The existence of the Reliant Robin Racing Green Edition is an oddity. Reliant three-wheelers are admirable in many ways, but their central theme is minimalism. They were made and sold as cheaply as they could be. They were more expensive than bottom-grade mass production cars, but that was partly because extreme lightness is not cheap, and partly because they were as handmade as an Aston Martin (even though Reliant engines were not signed by the bloke who built them).
