RS end of row: …K2tog, K1.

WS beg of row: P1, P2tog…

BUTTON BAND

Note: Although stitches are picked up all around the body, the button band is worked in rows. At the end of a row, turn work. Markers are numbered as reached during each row (e.g. 8th mrk on RS row is first mrk on WS row).

When picking up stitches, to make picking up the correct number easier:

Pick up 1 st for every cast-on or cast-off st.

Pick up approx. 4 sts for every 5 rows along stocking stitch.
