Tractor Fest, held at Newby Hall near Ripon, in North Yorkshire, took place over the weekend of June 10th-11th, and proved to be a resounding success for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Ford and Fordson tractors were very prominent in the beautiful parkland setting, with the FFA boasting the biggest club stand by far. Organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Association, this show just keeps getting better, and is now the major event on the tractor rally calendar.
One of the notable features this year was a spotlight on Perkins-powered machinery, and this included many representatives from the Ford and Fordson family. Among the highlights for me was Kevin Cawood’s 1939 Standard N; a tractor that’s enjoying a second lease of life after almost being scrapped.
